West Loch Shores Tarbert works hard to retain the natural content and beauty of the park and minimise any intense urban influence on the local area through unnecessary damage, litter or pollution.

The parkland is maintained well and set within boundaries of natural woodland and wild plants overlooking the stunning waters of Tarbert's West Loch.

The areas of Kintyre and Argyll are some of the best preserved natural beauty which has alot to do with visitor numbers being far below normal levels of tourism experience by cities such as Glasgow or Edinburgh. The advantages of this include peaceful and tranquil settings, natural blooming green hillsides and flourishing wildlife.

West Loch Shores Tarbert also has limited mooring for small boats at the small piece of private beach at the foot of the park just across the road and again we take great care in ensuring that this area is free from litter, polution and is well maintained.

We are so conscious about looking after the environment both within and outside the bounds of our park that we were awarded the David Bellamy Silver Conservation Award in 2004.
